Is typing replacing writing? Did you compliment some one on her/his good handwriting? With growing ease of technology, people prefer to type by 'speaking' into microphone or use keyboard to directly jot down the contents into computer. Writing has its own glory. It has emotions, feeling and intent. There were analysts who could analyses personality of individual by judging handwriting. Typing is need of the day. It saves duplicity of work. Typed matter is considered as 'professional Both  'typing' and 'writing' are going to stay in the society. But no doubt 'writing' is at receiving end. Thankfully, English differentiate between 'Writer' and 'Typist'
