Writing has its own glory. It has emotions, feeling and intent. There were analysts who could analyses personality of individual by judging handwriting.
Typing is need of the day. It saves duplicity of work. Typed matter is considered as 'professional

Both  'typing' and 'writing' are going to stay in the society. But no doubt 'writing' is at receiving end.
Thankfully, English differentiate between 'Writer' and 'Typist'
